Local Structure of Multinary Hybrid Lead Halide Perovskites Investigated by Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance Spectroscopy

چکیده

Hybrid organic–inorganic lead halide perovskites have emerged as popular low-cost, solution-processable semiconductors owing to their outstanding optical and electronic characteristics. The structural characterization of these soft solids has proven challenging due increased dynamics static disorder. Nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR) may serve a powerful tool for probing the local structure anions in bulk nanocrystalline forms perovskites. Here, we characterize atomic mixed-cation mixed-anion solid solutions derived from cubic formamidinium iodide (FAPbI3), typically used photovoltaics photodetectors, using 127I NQR. Even minute quantities Cs ions on FA sites or Br I multitude different environments, readily seen by NQR spectroscopy. At 10% Cs, signatures Cs-ion clustering arise, pointing onset phase separation, observed diffraction methods at higher contents. On contrary, Br-ion distribution appears homogeneous across all Br-to-I ratios. We anticipate that studies will be indispensable understanding atomistic diverse multinary metal halides, also forms—from single crystals thin films nanocrystals.

Photodetectors Based on Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Lead Halide Perovskites

Recent years have witnessed skyrocketing research achievements in organic-inorganic hybrid lead halide perovskites (OIHPs) in the photovoltaic field. In addition to photovoltaics, more and more studies have focused on OIHPs-based photodetectors in the past two years, due to the remarkable optoelectronic properties of OIHPs. This article summarizes the latest progress in this research field. To ...

Large polarons in lead halide perovskites

Lead halide perovskites show marked defect tolerance responsible for their excellent optoelectronic properties. These properties might be explained by the formation of large polarons, but how they are formed and whether organic cations are essential remain open questions. We provide a direct time domain view of large polaron formation in single-crystal lead bromide perovskites CH3NH3PbBr3 and C...

Unveiling the Nature of Charge Carrier Interactions by Electroabsorption Spectroscopy: An Illustration with Lead-Halide Perovskites.

Unravelling the nature of the interactions between photogenerated charge carriers in solar energy conversion devices is key to enhance performance. In this perspective, we discuss electroabsorption spectroscopy (EAS), as the spectral bandshape of the electroabsorption (EA) signal directly depends on the strength of the charge carrier interactions. For instance, the electroabsorption response in...

Charge carrier mobility in hybrid halide perovskites

The charge transport properties of hybrid halide perovskites are investigated with a combination of density functional theory including van der Waals interaction and the Boltzmann theory for diffusive transport in the relaxation time approximation. We find the mobility of electrons to be in the range 5-10 cm(2)V(-1)s(-1) and that for holes within 1-5 cm(2)V(-1)s(-1), where the variations depend...
